How much is your time worth? Is it worth the hourly rate of the job you do or the hours spent mindlessly watching TV or scrolling through social media? How much is your time really worth? Recently I was reading a book by Romi Neustadt titled Get Over Your Damn Self. The author asked her readers to do a small exercise, she said, how much money do you want to make as an entrepreneur, well take that dollar amount divide it by the number of hours of work you want to put into your business, whatever number spits out is your hourly rate.
For example, if you want your business to earn you half a million dollars and you are willing to put in 40 hours per week for one year will be equal to:
500,000 / (40 x 52) = $240.38
So, this would be what an hour of your time is worth to your business and to yourself. If time is our most precious commodity, why do we squander it on so many frivolous things? It is sad to see our generation (Gen X and Y) squander our most precious and most expensive asset so quickly and mindlessly. I’ve discovered that if you do not value your time, you’ll find people, places, and things willing to help you spend it. Life/Time is precious. It is not guaranteed it is a gift from on high. No one knows when their time will be up but everyone has a choice to use that which is given to them wisely.

Time is the most precious and rarest asset in the world. Money cannot buy it, riches can not replace it, and wisdom cannot rewind it. However, that which is given to you today can be used to the praise and glory of the Creator who gave you life and breath in your lungs. Remain grateful.
Spend your time on things and with people that matter. Spend your time building yourself up by investing in growing daily. Become the change you want to see, and invest in the people around you. You can do it, I can do it, we all can do it. Regardless of how much or how little time we have left on this earth, it is always important to leave the world a little better, a little happier, and a little prettier than we met it.
I believe in you. Yours truly,
Leah Manya.
