2024: A Focus on Mental Health & Well-being

Hello All,

Last time I wrote about the four indicators of suicidal behavior without first introducing you to the goal for my writing this year. Forgive me, in the last five years, I have been on a journey of becoming. Learning, unlearning, and relearning many things about my life, my childhood, the road that brought me to where I am today, my mental health, my physical health, and everything in between. I intend to share most of them with you and to break down some of the complex ideas of psychology and mental well-being because no matter how able-bodied we may be, we are only as strong as our minds.

So here are some topics I will be writing about and I look forward to hearing from you, my readers what you would like me to talk about. As a Nigerian-American who was born and raised in Nigeria, I have a unique perspective on so many things that I have learned both from my birth home and adopted home. I hope that you at the very least learn something that you can apply to your life about reclaiming your mental health space and taking your life to the next place you want to go. I look forward to this 2024 journey with all of you.

This year, God willing, I will write about anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress and stress management, time management, coping skills, attachment styles, family of origin challenges, healthy and unhealthy relationships with parents, siblings, partners, stages of life issues, religious organizations, religious leaders, and other authority figures. This is in no particular order. I hope to hear from you to let me know what you would like me to write about.

My content will consist of a breakdown of reputable academic and medical journal articles whose sole purpose is to educate and inform. I am excited about sharing my thoughts with you.

I look forward to hearing what you would like me to write about.
