12 LIFE LESSONS ON ATTITUDE

Attitude is everything.  Your failure or success in life may rise and fall on your attitude towards virtually everything. Today’s article is credited to life lessons learnt from the author and speaker Earl Nightingale. Therefore take from it what you need the most.

There’s nothing in the world that men, women, and children want any more than a feeling of importance and recognition: “Men die for it, and children cry for it.” If people feel needed and respected, they will give their love, affection, respect, and business.  A person’s attitude at the beginning, middle, and end of a project can affect the outcome of success.

1. Our attitude at the beginning of a task affects our outcome to a large degree.
2. Our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us.
3. It is impossible to succeed without others.  We are interdependent and gregarious creatures. Our attitude toward others will determine their attitude toward us.
4. To become successful in any field of your choosing, you must first envision yourself becoming successful.  You must walk, talk, and act like it. Before you can do, you have to think and become, then you can do it and have even more than you ever thought you could.
5. The more positive you become, the more successful you will become overall.
6. There is nothing to gain in being negative, so, be positive. There is no need to waste your time and energy on being negative.
7. Be a giver, give genuine adulation. People love to be needed, to feel important, to be appreciated. Give generously and it will surely come back to you.
8. Always look for the best in new ideas. You can always learn something new from anyone.
9. Don’t waste valuable time broadcasting personal problems. It probably won’t help you, and it would most likely not help others.
10. Radiate the attitude and confidence of a person who knows where they are going. By doing this, you will inspire the people around you to be better.
11. For the next 30 days, treat everyone you come in contact with, with dignity and respect. Treat them like they are the most important person in the world. And you will appreciate the value of people overall.
12. Never look down on anyone because you never know who’s help you may need in the future.
