If 2020 has taught me anything,…

If 2020 has taught me anything,…

No government, leader, ruler, legislator, member of the judiciary, autocrat, or president or governor cares more about you than you care about yourself. Look around you, look at the world, people are suffering everywhere. Protests in Belarus, protests in Nigeria, protests in the U. S., protests in Brazil, Hong Kong, and India. The people have begged and cried for their governments to help them but all of that fell on deaf ears. The pandemic has ravaged communities, destroying lives and livelihoods. It has expanded the wealth-divide in the world. The rich got richer, the poor and middle class slid several spaces backward into poverty and penury.

It is that we cannot place our hope or trust in human beings. Now more than ever has Scriptures been more accurate “that the arm of flesh will fail you if you put your trust in men.” The world is leaderless, the most powerful man in the world has reverted to the most powerless baby in the world. How are you vying for reelection when you have completely botched the job you were entrusted.  You had one job, one job…to protect lives and livelihoods but more and more people are dying every day on your watch while you play golf almost every day. I mean, how are you even not in prison right now for crimes against humanity and dereliction of duty?

If 2020 has taught me anything,…

I have to create my own financial economy because no one, really no one cares about me more than I will care about me. No one will put money in my pocket more than I can put money in my pocket. No one, no government, no world economy will pay my bills, feed my family, provide me with healthcare and dental and vision, and provide me with a life of abundance more than I can provide myself. No one will recession-proof my life if I don’t get up and recession-proof it myself.

If 2020 has taught me anything,…

It is that just because someone has a “big title” doesn’t mean they know what they are doing. Case in point, The President of the United States told his Citizens to drink bleach, then he said it is a hoax, then he said everything is a lie except for when he says it. I mean, it is hard to follow. If this was a circus, he would be the clown spinning several plates at once.

If 2020 has taught me anything,…

It is that just because everyone is complaining about a downturn doesn’t mean I will have a downturn.  In this same year, many people got rich when others were filing bankruptcy, some got promoted at their jobs when others lost jobs, people bought businesses and assets, many businesses and companies went bankrupt, many lost home and livelihood, many bought homes and resorts, while others became broke, some became billionaires

It is that life is full of dialectics. It can be both positive and negative at the same time that one does not have to cancel another.  Life is precious and it cannot be taken for granted. 2020 is a year to soberly reflect on what it is I believe my purpose in life is.  Make the most of your life and don’t wait for perfect weather. Life will not stop and wait for you to get it right.

So love your family, pray for them, thank God for what you have, and hope for a better 2021.

Yours truly
